Cheesy Angel Chicken and Rice Casserole

Ingredients
For the Chicken and Rice Base:

- 3 cups chicken broth

- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Cheesy Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup (or homemade substitute)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
