Layered Chocolate Cake with Creamy
Ingredients
For the Chocolate Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
For the Creamy Filling:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache:
- 8 oz semisweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional, for shine)
For the Vanilla or White Chocolate Frosting (Optional):
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 4 oz white chocolate, melted and cooled (optional)
