I’ve never seen my guests enjoy a dish as much as they do this one when I serve it at dinner parties

The Amish Burger Steak Bake is a hearty and comforting dish that combines seasoned ground beef patties with vegetables and a savory sauce, all baked together for a delicious meal. Here’s a simple recipe to make Amish Burger Steak Bake:

Ingredients:

For the beef patties:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the vegetable layer:

  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups baby carrots, halved lengthwise
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed and halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the sauce:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into equal portions and shape them into oval-shaped patties, similar to steak shapes. Place the patties in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In the same baking dish with the beef patties, arrange the sliced mushrooms, onions, halved baby carrots, and halved green beans around and on top of the patties. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper, and drizzle olive oil over them.
  5. In a small saucepan, whisk together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  6. In a separate small bowl, mix the flour and water until smooth to create a slurry. Gradually whisk the slurry into the simmering sauce mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Pour the sauce evenly over the beef patties and vegetables in the baking dish, covering them well.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the beef patties are cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
  9. Remove the foil during the last 10-15 minutes of baking to allow the tops to brown slightly.
  10. Once done, remove the Amish Burger Steak Bake from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  11. Serve the baked burger steaks and vegetables hot, spooning some of the flavorful sauce over each serving. Enjoy this comforting Amish-inspired dish with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread on the side.

This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner and is sure to be a hit with its hearty flavors and comforting appeal. Adjust the seasonings and vegetables according to your taste preferences for a personalized twist!
